It's May 20th, Orioles are still on top of the AL East

Can we get to the All-Star break already? The Orioles are still leading the AL East with a 27-14 record. Adam Jones has been more than spectacular in the clean up role with 14 HR's and 29 RBI's. Matt Wieters is progressing nicely.

 I believe a lot of the credit goes to the Orioles pitching staff including bullpen. Starting pitchers are finally pitching deep into games and keeping runs minimal, something that wasn't happening years prior. Wei-Yin Chen has been a great addition to the starting rotation.  Matusz looks like he is starting to return to his original form that we were all excited about. Chris Johnson is steadily closing games and Pedro Strop has been nothing less than consistent in those middle innings.

The only thing the O's need are corner position players. We NEED a 3rd baseman and a first basemen if we are even going to think about making a playoff run.

Today's pitching match-up will be fun, Wei-Yin Chen v. Stephen Strasburg. Hopefully the Orioles can take this win for a sweep against the Nationals.
