Andy McPhail Steps Down as Orioles President of Baseball Operations
As I was watching the St. Louis Cardinals @ Philadelphia Phillies last night ESPN sent me a text message saying that Andy McPhail stepped down as General Manager of the Orioles. We knew that he was not going to return for the 2012 season. Too many questions need to be answered before the turn of the year. First question, did Andy McPhail do a good job in Baltimore? That may be a matter of opinion. You can see the Orioles progress since McPhail took over here. Second question is who will replace Andy McPhail. Over the course of this post season I've been hearing speculation that Orioles manager Buck Showalter could step up into the General Manager role. My friend @bpal410 was telling me that there is a chance Theo Epstein, the GM of the Boston Red Sox, may also step down.
